Meet Bond No. 9
Bond No. 9 was created and founded by Laurice Rahme in 2003. It takes its name from the address of its headquarters boutique at 9 Bond Street, in NoHo, Manhattan. The Bond No. 9 collection has a dual mission: restore artistry to perfumery, and mark every New York neighborhood with a scent of its own. Each fragrance represents a specific downtown, midtown, or uptown locale, or a city-wide sensibility. With new introductions every season, Bond No. 9 infuses the island of Manhattan — not to mention to city of Los Angeles — with scents.
Q: Tell us a bit about Bond No. 9?
The main concept of Bond No. 9 is to restore artistry to perfumery, and to mark every New York neighborhood with a scent of its own.
Q: LOVE how each fragrance represents a specific NYC downtown, midtown, or uptown locale, or a city-wide sensibility have you ever considered expanding this to other cities such as Los Angeles or internationally?
At the moment we remain very true to our heritage and roots and have fragrances that celebrate New York City as well as the State of New York. Our current plans do not include an expansion of this concept as New York is our passion.
Q: What makes Bond No. 9 sexy?
While each Bond No. 9 fragrance is unique, all share something in common with the city in which they were created: They have an edge, a sex appeal. From the most audacious to the wittiest and most whimsical, they all convey a courage, a gutsiness, that captures the uncompromising spirit of New York.
Q: If Bond No. 9 represents the style of NYC which of the collection represents your style?
Wall Street represents me the best; a cool spicy scent that showcases the brisk energy and brilliance of New York.
Q: Speaking of style, what have you been drawn to this season?
California has been a lot cooler in temperatures this fall which has drawn me to Sandalwood; it’s intoxicating, inviting, warming, creamy and irresistibly smooth.

New York, of course, black, and my New York Amber Tola which is ideal for traveling. It comes in a black velvet drawstring pouch that I can keep in my pocket.
