LA Getting Its Own Men’s Fashion Week

LA Getting Its Own Men’s Fashion Week

Welcome to Men’s Fashion Week LA

Kicking off LA Fashion Week, Men’s Fashion Week Los Angeles will make history on October 11, 2012. As the 5th major Men’s Fashion Week in the world, it is dedicated to one goal: to gain universal recognition for American menswear fashion designers.

The Wall Street Journal reported that a “surge in menswear sales balance out falling womenswear sales.” Men’s Fashion Week Los Angeles was curated as a direct response to an unprecedented 16% increase in profits, globally, in the menswear apparel sector.

Unlike most esoteric Fashion Weeks, the young company promises to have something for everyone. Using a multi-dimensional platform, it will serve both the large fashion brands and the local designer. The comprehensive platform marries runway fashion shows and press installations with pop-up showrooms and exhibits. The launch party “media event” is the first of three ancillary events as a part of the company’s “Imagine the Possibilities” campaign promoting Men’s Fashion Week Los Angeles, which will be held June 2013.

This historical moment will be celebrated at The Martini Factory, a venue sponsored by showroom owners. The venue is a 4,000 square foot showroom with white walls, white furnishing, and gray polished concrete flooring.

A simple stark gray suit, which has become increasing popular along with the success of AMC‘s television network show “Mad Men”, will be worn by Men’s Fashion Week LA promo models.

The hair will be sponsored by Bolt Barbers.

During the launch party, Men’s Fashion Week LA will showcase seven menswear designers as a part of a press presentation. It will represent brands from across the country and across the globe that echo MFWLA’s core values – being noble, courteous and pioneering. Among the seven menswear designers, the following designers have signed to feature one look from their SS 2013 collection: Vokare (California); Jag Saint Joi (New York); Zanerobe (Australia); and seventy five year old American footwear brand: PF Flyers.

The iconic bow tie is the symbolic embodiment of Men’s Fashion Week LA not only because of its allure, but because the Four Corners of the bow tie point to MFWLA’s company vision and principles.

Men’s Fashion Week Los Angeles’ launch party will be held at the Martini Factory on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 7:00pm.
