Connie Borja, founder of Amour Swimwear, just announced the launch of LA Swim Week at The London Hotel. The fashion event will feature innovative and exciting new swimwear and beachwear collections from iconic, luxury, and emerging brands.

LA Swim Week was founded by Borja for the purpose of providing a sustainable platform that will allow further engagement between top fashion media and premiere retailers, national and international designers. She strongly believes that the event will foster connections between diverse corners of the fashion world. Borja’s own Amour Swimwear was founded in 2012, out of her passion for the many moods and needs of modern women, as well as her love for event production.

la-swim-week-1Other designers attending the event will include Australia’s Rebecca Klodinsky of Frankie by Rebecca, Greece’s Eleni Armanos of BeachFlirt22, and from Los Angeles, Chloe Rose of the designs by the same name, DiMarco Swimwear, Asher Marie Collection from North Carolina, Khongboon Swimwear from Thailand, Swedish brand (based in Milan) Chistina Leonor Lingerie, The 8th Continent swimwear collection (T-8-C) from Japan and Mint Swim from designer and celebrity Draya Michele from VH1.

The show will also feature iconic beachwear brand Leonisa, a Colombian brand that has been creating high quality apparel for almost 60 years. The brand is well known for its wonderful designs and global presence, and has supported the glorious curves of many women.

The event will be held at The London Hotel West Hollywood, on July 23, 2015, just off the Sunset Strip. The London offers the highest levels of luxury. Joining this year presenting the fashion designers, Liz Eddy, TV host and travel model. LASW expects more than 400 guests.

Almost everything that goes on at The London Hotel is by invitation only. LA Swim Week is exclusively for the fashion industry, a red-carpet event filled with models, fashion photographers, writers, editors, and designers.

The event is in support of the American Cancer Society, and the fundraiser is dedicated to Tracey Patch, a body-building contestant, a daughter, wife, friend, and a fighter. Donations go straight to Susan G. Komen, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer.
