Style Fashion Week Triples in Size

 
This October, the landmark 6th season of Style Fashion Week is breaking new ground at an incredible new venue at LA LIVE’s Event Deck, and a line-up of internationally acclaimed designers.

Now tripled in size, the influential Style Fashion Week has received the Seal of Los Angeles by City of Los Angeles Councilman Curren D. Price, Jr. The ever-growing and innovative week of events has earned Style Fashion Week a respected position of influence in the fashion community. Their week of shows continues to be the highlight of LA Fashion Week and garners international attention and praise. The 6th season of fashion events will be held October 13th-17th on the renowned L.A. LIVE Event deck. This season, the 5-day, high-energy event will feature two full runways showcasing the most inspired collections from around the globe. An expansive brand marketplace will immerse guests in art, fashion, and design and allow them to directly engage with brands and designers throughout the week. Each year, Style Fashion Week presents the season’s must-see shows, unforgettable performances, and exclusive installations.

This season doors will open at 5PM on Opening Night, Sunday, October 13th with shows running 6PM-10PM. Tuesday-Thursday doors open at 4PM with shows running from 5PM-10PM.

Civil Society: Founded in 2007 by designer Brad Schwartz, Civil Society is a Los Angeles based brand that occupies a unique place in the landscape of American and European design and fashion. Ina Soltani: Los Angeles based celebrity designer, Ina Soltani, draws inspiration from the dramatic narratives of artisan traditions and her deep appreciation of arts and culture. Her designs are favorites among Hollywood A-listers including: Jessica Chastain, Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus, Eva Longoria and Jennifer Lopez. Ina Soltani’s retrospective collection, “Tribute to Hollywood” will showcase the designer’s most famous gowns worn by celebrities at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Emmys, along with her one of a kind couture pieces. K.Brown | RONG: This collaborative venture is an unconventional juxtaposition between sporty chic and modern sophistication. The two aspects brilliantly complement each other despite their distinct individualities. This line will consist of 18 different looks. The Spring portion of the collection is a group of sports inspired concepts combined with chic silhouettes. The Summer portion, on the other hand, caters to a more conservative audience.

Kenneth Chang: Consort62 by Kenneth Chang is more than a young men’s contemporary fashion line, it is also social commentary on the nuances of the LA man. It represents the complexity that lies behind the hype of the young Hollywood culture. With over 25 years in the fashion industry, Kenneth Chang not only design original pieces, but also passes down experience, and at Consort62 emphasizes the accessibility of design.

Lisa JN. Marie: Lisa JN. Marie creates designs that flatter the female body, helping women feel confident, beautiful, and desired. Hailing from St. Lucia, designer Lisa Marie’s goal as a fashion designer is to bring unique and fresh designs to the fashion community. Each of her pieces are sexy and elegant and bold and trendy. Lisa Marie’s draws inspiration from diverse sources including nature, luxury affairs, celebrity icons and architecture.

Malan Breton: The S/S 2014 Malan Breton collection is inspired by the union of the strength and delicacy and the complimentary principles of yin and yang. Here, “The strong Saville Row silhouettes of the 1960’s British pop invasion meet the decadent romance of Won Kar Wei’s film “In the Mood for Love”. The silhouettes are enhanced by opalescent fabrics, old world corsetry, rich brocades, organza, mylar, cashmere, embroideries, and mother of pearl, giving these collections a touch of glamour, romance, luxury, and strength.

Michael Costello: The collections debuting at Style Fashion week are the new era of the Costello fashion group. The Michael Costello collection is inspired by his travels. Traveling from city to city all around the world, Michael would look down through the windows of the planes and see these magical tracks of gold dust and burst of lights from the cities he would fly over. Patric Love by Prince Julio Cesar: From the industrial city of Valencia, Venezuela, Prince Julio Cesar Cruz Molina’s draws much of his creative inspiration from family and culture. Cruz’s inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of Patric Love was conceived on his last trip to Monaco where the women of the streets thrive on beauty, sophistication, and above all, luxury.

R. Michel’le: R.Michel’le is a ready-to-wear brand for the chic modern woman. The European inspired collection features sassy chiffons, sequin looks and casual cotton ensembles. Designer, Rachael Broussard launched R.Michel’le as the sister brand to Supastar, a sophisticated twist on young modern contemporary women’s clothing. Sachika: SACHIKA’s S/S 2014 “Fearlessly Sensual “collection presents clothing for the fashion fearless, who like to command, have fun, and express their playful side. The line presents the balance between effortlessly wearable and statement-making, a balance that SACHIKA is known for. For Spring 2014, TUXX by SACHIKA, the newest label for men, will show revamped fashion essentials for the confident man who can handle the “Fearlessly Sensual” dominant SACHIKA woman.

Silvia Bours: Silvia Bours is a Mexican born artist and designer. Her handmade designs are truly works of art. Each one-of-a-kind piece conveys Silvia’s theatrical and feminine style. Her hand painted dresses are favorites in her collections. Silvia has previously presented shows in Arizona, this is her first time at Style Fashion Week.

Sofia Palmero: Sofia Palmero is a Mexican-brand swimwear line for the feminine, original, and daring woman. The S/S 2014 collection, “Gems” is inspired by precious stones and in metals. Bold colors dominate the collection, which features innovative geometric cuts and uniquely designed brass brooches. Tina Marie by Tina Hughes: Talented designer Tina Hughes creates each piece of her collection with an expert eye for juxtaposition and a thorough understanding of the economics and waste behind traditional textiles. Eu Presentes Art Hearts Fashion, Featuring:
Donna Mizani: A rising star in women’s fashion design, Donna Mizani is renowned for her signature “cut-out” dress designs. A native New Yorker, now based in Los Angeles, Mizani’s design aesthetic is ultra-feminine and focuses on celebrating the female physique. Mizani’s muse, much like the entrepreneurial designer herself, is confident, sexy, alluring, daring and bold.

Kami Shade: Kami Shade’s designs have been featured in the fashion industry’s top magazines including Vogue, Elle Magazine, Lucky Magazine, Apparel News & The Los Angeles Times. The line consists of high-end couture, vintage inspired swimwear, and ready-to-wear collections for all women that compliment different bodies, styles, and personalities.

Marco Marco: Marco Marco designs and produces custom pieces for red carpets, tours, award shows, commercials and performances. “I love working with the performers, stylists and directors who come to me with their ideas and visions,” Marco says. “But the most rewarding thing is coming into to the studio every day and working with the most talented team of artists, who are also my friends and loved ones. I’m grateful to be a part of it.” Marco will be debuting some of his select exciting new costume pieces and clothes from his upcoming collection.

Mr. Triple X: Mister Triple X is high-end Streetwear with an Edge.The fashion line represents the thoughts, ideas, and trends that are relevant in pop culture fashion. This season the Mister Triple X “RefeXion ColleXion” will take you on a life journey told through fashion. Conceived by Fashion Entrepreneur Erik Rosete in Los Angeles California, the fashion line has quickly grown to be a powerhouse in the fashion world. Within of few months of the conception, the fashion line has been picked up by projects at Universal, The New York Film Academy, Magic Las Vegas and has been shot by celebrity photographers.

Anja Van Herle: Born in Belgium in 1969, artist Anja Van Herle combines a European sense of high fashion with an American sense of wonder in her artwork. Anja concentrates on figurative paintings that are inspired by both classic and contemporary fashion while exploring issues of identity, emotion, and human interrelationships. Anja’s timelessly chic women are playfully sexy, their expressions and eyes tell stories that go far beyond the simple exhibition of fine fashion.

Gallery Sensei: Sensei was established by Joseph Latimore in the Spring of 2006 with the intention of exhibiting the work of 50 new & emerging artists. In 2007, Sensei expanded its presentation of works through a collaboration with Anthology Film Archives to include performance. The gallery completed its calendar of 50 artists with Harry Druzd’s solo exhibition of paintings Chicks & Skulls and now continues promoting the development of new & emerging artists.
