Project Ethos, Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk Come Together for LA Fashion Week
The Intersection of Fashion, Music and Art
LOS ANGELES – Project Ethos and Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk will merge Thursday, October 11th, 2012 from 7pm-2am for LA Fashion Week. Premier event venue Exchange LA (618 South Spring St. LA, CA 90014) will feature Project Ethos’ signature runway showcase by emerging designers, a live performance, multiple DJs, and a sprawling art experience in the downstairs gallery. Sponsors include The Fashion Law Group, model hair and make-up styling by TNT Agency and Scion who will exhibit a new addition to their line-up, the 2013 FR-S Sports Car.
Emerging designer fashion shows will be at 9:30pm and 10:30pm featuring the designs of Jose Galeana (Galean Designs), Jennifer Krischer (Linden), Felicia Barth-Aasen (Collective 26), Claudia Gonzalez Pruitt (Beso Moda), Andre Myers (Nine Menswear), B. by Aperire, Marialia Pacitto (Marialia), Lawren Michele Cappelletti (Lawren Michele) and Kiki Hasija (ARIA by Kiki Resort Wear). At 11:30, a fashion show from the iconic Goorin Bros showcases the hat makers’ latest collection.
The rotund main room will host a live performance by electro-club duo Oliver with DJ sets throughout the evening. A dynamic combination of art will be displayed in the gallery downstairs throughout the night featuring live painting and a pop up gallery with Tanina Jackson, INDEPTH, Max Neutra, Mark Jacobs, James Rhodimer and Amy Baca López.
11pm will be the start of the “Synthesis” after party complete with DJ sets, fashion shows, live performances and special guests to continue the LA Fashion Week celebration. Preserved in its original art deco from its time as the LA Stock Exchange, this historic club and event space at Artwalk will experience a rare and exclusive red carpet event.
